No matter which in industry or business, specialized Engineering Teams face common challenges today:
While innovation budget and time to market goals suffer from significant reductions in corporate environments, expectations rise towards standardization and reduction of product cost. PowerTech Converter found a way to meet those expectations and with this online format I am happy to share our way forward during product development and design for PowerBriX.
Start of 2020 PowerTech Converter succeeded in providing its customers with the first series of PowerBriX Auxiliary Power Units for railway application.
The PBX LowPower (35-55 kVA) marks the end of a successful development project that was started two years before. The plan was to design a product platform for APUs based on newest technology, a more than competitive price and a foundation for standardization in all future developments.
In the coming weeks I am going to provide you with details on our product development project and the fantastic results we achieved – in total and during the development phases.
Starting point will be the requirements management phase that PowerTech completely changed compared to former projects.
I will share the modular system architecture and innovations that we considered to meet our customer’s needs while still focusing on our economic goals and supporting PowerTech’s Turn-Around strategy.
I am looking forward to provide you with insights into our professional development environment and the pleasant results our Engineering work delivered.
