Definitions
We want our data protection policy to be simple and understandable for everyone. The data protection policy generally uses the official terms of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The official definitions are set out in Art. 4 GDPR.
Data processing by visiting our website
When visiting our website, we need to transmit data to our web server via your internet browser for technical reasons. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server:
-
Domain visited
-
Date and time of the request
-
Page from which the file was requested
-
Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
-
Web browser and operating system used
-
IP address of the requesting computer
-
Amount of data transferred
We collect this data to ensure that the connection to the website is established smoothly and to make it easier for users to use our website. The log file is also used to evaluate system security and stability as well as for administrative purposes. The legal basis for the temporary storage of data or log files is Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR.
We may store this data temporarily for technical security reasons, in particular to prevent attempts to attack our web server. It is not possible to identify individual persons on the basis of this data. After a maximum of seven days, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user. This data is not evaluated in any way except for statistical purposes and in an anonymised form. This data will not be combined with data from other data sources.
Contact form and contact by e-mail
If you send us enquiries using the contact form or via e-mail, we will store your details from the contact form in your e-mail, including the contact details you entered there, so that we can deal with your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. In any case, we do not share this data without your consent. The legal basis for us to process the data is our legitimate interest in answering your query in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR and, if applicable, Art. 6 (1) lit b GDPR, if your query is directed towards entering a contract. We will delete your data after we have finished processing your request, unless this is in conflict with any statutory storage obligations. You may object to your personal data being processed at any time with future effect in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit f GDPR.
Links to social media
The only links to social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter and XING) on our website are to the corresponding services. If you click on the embedded text/image link, you will be forwarded to the page of the respective provider. User information is only transferred to the respective provider after it has been redirected. For information on how your personal data is handled when using these websites, please refer to the respective data protection regulations of the providers you use.
Data transfer and recipients
As a rule, your personal data will not be transferred to third parties, except
-
we have made explicit reference to this in describing the respective data processing,
-
You have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit a GDPR,
-
the transfer is necessary according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or is in our legitimate interest for other reasons and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worth protecting in not disclosing your data,
-
There is a legal obligation to pass on the data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit c GDPR and
-
this is necessary according to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR when handling contractual relationships with you.
We also use external service providers to provide and handle our services. We select them carefully and commission them in writing. They are bound to follow our instructions and are regularly checked by us. Contracts for processing orders required by Art. 28 GDPR are entered into before being commissioned. Our service providers are responsible for web hosting, sending e-mails and the maintenance and servicing of our IT systems. Your personal data will never be passed on to third parties by the service providers working for us.
Duration of personal data retention
The length of time for which personal data is stored is determined by the relevant statutory storage obligations, e.g. from commercial law and tax law. The relevant data is routinely deleted once the respective period has expired. If data is required to fulfil or initiate a contract, or if we have a legitimate interest in further storage, the data will be deleted if it is no longer required for these purposes or if you exercise your right of revocation or objection.

The following is a list of the rights of the data subjects to which the data subject is entitled vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of their personal data:

The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Right to object
If your personal data is processed by us on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, insofar as this is done for reasons arising from your particular situation. If the objection is directed against the processing of personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have a general right of objection without the need to specify a specific situation.
Once you have given your consent, you may revoke it at any time.
If you would like to make use of your right of revocation or objection, simply send an e-mail to info@powertech-converter.com.
Please note that you should point out the right to revoke your consent as part of the process of obtaining it, e.g. in the case of newsletter registration forms (see section 7). Please also note that, depending on the processing, an opt-out option must be provided or described (see section 8).

We reserve the right to update this data protection policy if necessary, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
